Congrats to all those that participated in the competition this weekend, you all did awesome and we were super proud that you represented CrossFit Unknown!

Also Congrats to our very own Boston Saunders on the arrival of his Baby Boy on Saturday!

Now that the open and the challenge is all out of the way, we can get down to business. This week will be some what of a “test” week. Just seeing if we’re progressing or where we are lacking since you can call this the “off season” since the open is over with.

For the next few weeks we will be doing a back squat cycle, the goal is pretty obvious, to get stronger in the squat. For most people, when the squat starts to go up, so does other lifts, such as the cleans, snatches, any type of squat and some times even the deadlift as well. This cycle will be nothing crazy, just percentage work that if done the right way we’ll give us the results we want to see.

So we encourage everyone to try and get in today and get some numbers on the board for your back squat. And make sure you record the weight you did, whether it’s on your phone or on the PR board, something! Since it’s percentage work for a few weeks we will need to know your numbers so keep them in mind!
