Well we’ve warned you guys that it was coming, and it’s finally here! Today is the day we will be running a 5k!
I know what you’re probably thinking, why Chans? Why run a 5k? What’s the point? Well let me be the first to say shut up. Haha just kidding. But if you think about it isn’t running one of the most functional things we can do? I mean years and years ago before they were even lifting weights weren’t they running? Isn’t that how we escaped from getting eating?
Another thing to look at is this is the most common crossfit.com workout on the blog. This has been repeated more that 50 times. Surely if something has been repeated that much that there must be some importance to it right? Others have claimed that if you cannot run an entire 5k, meaning no walking, that there is some huge holes in your fitness you need to fix. I’ll let you decide if that is true or not.
Do not be afraid of today. We’ve prepped you guys with just running days to make sure you’re ready. Heck just last Friday you ran 2 miles. Another mile is nothing! You guys can do this! And if you don’t show up, who knows you might just see it again 😉
Just think today as you’re running, it could be worse, I mean at least it’s on a road and not in a trail somewhere 🙂
